n. 1. The DEPARTMENT that issues RAIN CHECKS, collects can and bottle returns, handles complaints, etc. 2. The active demonstration of a friendly, helpful, and patient attitude towards the CUSTOMER, which aims to increase CUSTOMER SATISFACTION and GOODWILL by answering their questions, helping them locate ITEMS, and so on.
